During the month of January 2011, the Richmond County Department of Social Services
provided the following services to our community:
The Food and Nutrition unit issued $1,529,458.00 in Food and Nutrition benefits.
646 children in Richmond County received childcare through the Childcare Subsidy
program.
The total number of children and adults in Richmond County receiving Medicaid was
12,273.
The Crisis Intervention Program issued $93,624.00 in benefits to Richmond County
residents for heating related emergencies.
The Child Support Services unit collected $464,615.00 in child support payments.
